1. Choose a Designated Learning Institution (DLI) Program: Select a program that aligns with your interest and career goals. Ensure the institution is a DLI recognized by the Canadian government and verify if the program is eligible for the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP)
  2. Check Eligibility Requirements: Examining the eligibility requirements comes next once you’ve selected the course you want to take and have made a selection of universities. Verify your eligibility for the selected course and make a note of all the documents needed for the application.
  3. Submit Application: Gather and submit all required documents including academic transcripts, passport, and English proficiency test scores.
  4. Obtain Offer letter: Once accepted, you will receive offer letter from the DLI. Note the initial deposit deadline, typically within 20 days.
  5. Apply for NOC: Apply for the No Objection Certificate (NOC), which is required during initial deposit.
  6. Make Initial Deposit: Make the initial deposit as per the offer letter requirements.
  7. Obtain Letter of Acceptance (LOA): After making initial payment, you will receive Letter of Acceptance (LOA) from the DLI. The LOA must contain specific information required by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
  8. Request for PAL: After you receive LOA, you can request a Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL) if needed.
  9. Pay remaining Tuition fee: Pay the remaining tuition fee for the entire first year of study mentioned in your Letter of Acceptance (LOA). After paying your tuition fees to the university, you will receive a payment receipt. It’s crucial to keep this receipt safe, as you will need to submit it as part of your study permit application.
Once you have your LOA, you can apply for a VISA.
